Any new El Tri coach will be asked to relocate to Mexico City and accept the presence of an advisory committee made up of former national team coaches.

Chelsea not willing to meet Dumfries asking price

They are also after a new right-back to cover for the injured Reece James, but it appears Dutch international Dumfries may be too expensive.

The 25-year-old Scot has struggled to break into the Championship side since moving from St Johnstone last summer.

Pitching In Southern League Division One Central club Hertford Town have signed attacking midfielder Zenon Stylianides from Vanarama National League South side Cheshunt.
The 24-year-old joined the Ambers in September 2022 from Isthmian League Premier side Wingate & Finchley.
