Transfer News: Chelsea offers whooping £115m to sign 21 year old Argentina star from Benfica

Chelsea have reportedly offered Benfica a sum of £115m to sign Argentina’s 21- Year old midfielder Enzo Fernandez according to reports from Portugal, with a a number of other premier league top clubs still interested in the midfielder.

Enzo Fernandez has emerged as one of the rising young talents, after his outstanding performance to lead his country Argentina to world cup glory, which saw him win the young player of the tournament award at the Qatar world cup.

It is now clear that the Blue’s of London have taken the first and bold step in their attempt to sign the Argentine from Benfica by submitting a huge offer. The 21 year old has a release clause of almost £105m but Chelsea are willing to pay above that as they look to secure a move for him.

Chelsea are in the race with Liverpool and Newcastle whose bids were rejected already. The midfielder is already at Benfica and have started training immediately after his return. The club president Rui Costa had conversations with the Argentine star in order to convince him to remain at the club.
