Without much doubts, Chelsea football club will most definitely remain keen on challenging the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Liverpool to finish in the top four this season.

Do remember that that West London club were one of the most active Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window as they completed the signings of several players.

However, that has not quite worked out well for Chelsea football club so far as they are currently occupying the 8th position on the Premier League table under manager Graham Potter.

Due to this, Chelsea football club want to improve their squad and have now been urged to make a move for experienced Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez next year.

The 30-year-old Argentina International, who signed up for Aston Villa after departing Arsenal football club in 2020 has been an important member of the first-team squad over the previous seasons.

The experienced shot-stopper has been heavily involved for both Aston Villa and Argentina so far this 2022/2023 football season, making a total of 24 appearances in all competitions.

His excellent performances between the sticks helped Argentina to win the FIFA World Cup earlier this year and that has caught the attention of former Chelsea forward Joe Cole.

And according to reports from The Sun, the legendary Joe Cole has urged Chelsea football club to make a move to lure Emiliano Martinez away from Aston Villa when the window opens.

The reports further claimed that Joe Cole wants Chelsea to move on from Edouard Mendy who has been prone to error for a while now, and make a transfer bid to sign Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa.

But then, it remains to be seen if Chelsea football club will heed to such advice and prioritise a move for Emiliano Martinez when the transfer window opens in January.
