Chelsea football club made quite a number of additions to their current squad under manager Thomas Tuchel during the just concluded summer transfer window.

The West London club want to compete with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool on all fronts this season and completed the signings of Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Bettinelli to bolster their squad.

The Blues have begun the 2021/2022 season on a very good note and are in the top 4 on the Premier League table after racking up four wins in their opening six games.

However, the Blues could now be rocked with reports that star striker Timo Werner is willing to quit the club due to his lack of game time so far this season.

The 25-year-old Germany International, who joined Chelsea from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig last year has failed to live up to expectations since he made the move.

The young striker has scored just 13 goals in 59 appearances since he made the transfer to Chelsea in 2020 and he could now be considering a move away from the club due to the arrival of Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan in the summer.

Timo Werner has found it rather difficult to break into the Chelsea starting spot this season, making just seven appearances so far with most of them coming from the bench.

It is believed that the young striker wants to play regular football at this stage of his career and according to reports from The Sun, he is ready to reassess his future at the Stamford Bridge next summer.

The reports further claimed that Timo Werner is considering a move back to Germany as he aims to get back to his best following a disappointing 2020/2021 season.

That said, the young striker will definitely not be short of suitors in Germany if he decides to leave the North London club next summer, with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund waiting in line.
