Done deal: Paul Mullin extends Wrexham contract

Wrexham have triggered a one-year contract extension option in Paul Mullin’s contract after seeing him hit 47 goals for them in the 2022-23 campaign. The 28-year-old frontman has been a revelation for the Dragons since becoming one of the first marquee additions of the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney ownership era at the Racecourse Ground. Through 97 appearances for the club, the prolific striker has hit 79 goals.

Chelsea’s Lukaku talks on hold

According to The Daily Telegraph, Chelsea will not speak to Romelu Lukaku about his Blues future until after the Champions League final. Lukaku is on loan at Inter Milan and the club reached the final on Tuesday by beating city rivals AC Milan. Potential new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is said to be willing to work with Lukaku, but reports in Italy claim he would rather stay in Serie A. It remains to be seen if a compromise can be reached.

That comes from a report from Fichajes, which claims that Dybala’s termination clause of just €12 milion makes it much easier for the Blues to bring in the former Juventus man.
