Chelsea told to pay £126million transfer fee to sign 23-year-old forward

Without much doubts, Chelsea football club will most definitely remain keen on improving their attacking options under manager Thomas Tuchel by signing new players.

Do remember that the West London club are currently short of options in attack following the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner to Inter Milan and RB Leipzig respectively.

Due to this, Chelsea football club are currently short of options in attack and are very much aware of the need to sign some new frontmen before the end of summer transfer window.

And if reports are anything to go by, then Chelsea football club have been linked with a transfer move for highly-rated AC Milan forward Rafael Leao this summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old Portugal International, who signed up for AC Milan after departing Ligue 1 side Lille back in 2019 has been an important member of the first-team squad since he joined.

The young left-winger was hugely influential for AC Milan during the 2021/2022 season where he scored 14 goals and created 12 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions.

His excellent performances on the wings is believed to have impressed Chelsea board and according to reports from Daily Mail, the Blues are keen on signing him.

The reports further claimed that Serie A giants AC Milan are very much aware of Chelsea’s interest in Rafael Leao and have now placed an asking price of £126million on him.

It is believed that AC Milan view Rafael Leao as an indispensable member of their team but the Italian side are willing to sell him if their asking price of £126million is matched.

But then, it remains to be seen if Chelsea football club will be capable of paying the demanded £126million transfer fee and secure the signing of Rafael Leao before the transfer window closes.
