Chelsea face competition from top clubs to sign 23-year-old superstar



Chelsea football club were undoubtedly one of the few busy Premier League clubs during the just concluded summer transfer window


The West London club, who won their second-ever UEFA Champions League trophy last season are keen on competing for more trophies this season and sealed the signings of Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Bettinelli to bolster their squad.

That has quite worked out well for Chelsea so far, as they are currently on top of the Premier League table after racking up 16 points from their opening seven matches.

Despite that, it is believed that manager Thomas Tuchel wants to further strengthen his current squad and he is interested in signing RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Christopher Nkuku when the transfer window opens.

The 23-year-old France International, who left Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain to join RB Leipzig in 2019 has been an important member of the first-team since he made the switch.

The young attacking midfielder was quite impressive for the Bundesliga side last season where he scored seven goals and provided 11 assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.

Christopher Nkuku has also started the 2021/2022 season on a very strong note, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in just 10 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

His excellent performances this season has caught the attention of Chelsea football club and they are now linked with a move to sign him next year.

According to reports from The Sun, the Blues are already in talks with the young attacking midfielder as they aim to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

However, the reports further claimed that Chelsea are not the only club interested in a move for Christopher Nkuku, with Manchester City and Real Madrid also keeping tabs on the young forward.

That said, it remains to be seen where Christopher Nkuku will end up next season but the one certain thing is that the youngster is not short of suitors.
