CHE 2 VS 2 EVN: Talking points in the match as Chelsea’s winning streak comes to a halt

Published

on

Graham Potter and his men locked horns with Everton on match day 28 of the English Premier League competition. The last time both teams met, the match ended in a 1-0 win in favor of the Blues. The home side lined up in a 4-3-3 formation while the Reds started the game in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Talking points in the match are:

1. BRILLIANT ENZO FERNANDEZ

The Argentina International midfielder who made a big-money move from Benfica to Chelsea this winter transfer window was outstanding in the game against the Toffees. He partnered well with Kovacic in the midfield and is always not afraid to try long-range efforts. He also made some key passes that should have resulted in a goal.

2. CHELSEA FAILS TO CONTINUE IN WINNING WAYS

Graham Potter and his men had struggled to win games in the second half of this season. A win against Leeds United, Dortmund, and Leicester City helped the Blues to three consecutive wins in a row but Potter and his men could not continue their winning streak as they were held to a draw at home tonight.

3. KANTE RETURNS

The French International midfielder has not featured for the Blues since a 2-2 draw against Tottenham back in August. He was on Chelsea’s squad list for today’s game but was an unused substitute.
