Big Announcement From Stamford Bridge As Signing Gets Underway

Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Chelsea’s trend of young signings may not be over yet. The news comes as they are close to being ready to announce the signing of Italian Cesare Casadei, with the Blues set to win the race for his services.
Despite the big name transfer the new owners have been keen to add in order to try and bridge the gap between themselves and the top two, there has also been an eye to the future which will encourage supporters that Todd Boehly and co are in the project for the long run.

They have already secured the highly-rated Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa, with Thomas Tuchel impressed enough by him to keep him as a member of his first team for this season.
He has been joined by the acquisition of goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina, who will join up with the squad after the MLS season finishes.
Chelsea not finished this summer
They are now finalizing the deal for Casadei, with Romano claiming that he will fly to London tonight to engage in his medical.
He said: “Cesare Casadei will fly to London on Wednesday night as main part of medical tests has been booked. Deal completed for €15m plus €5m add-ons, Chelsea will unveil Casadei as new signing soon …and it’s not over for Chelsea top talents project yet.”

While it is currently unclear which young stars the Blues would still like to sign, there are a pair of 21-year-olds who they are openly keen to wanting to add to their ranks.
Anthony Gordon emerged as a shock target over the weekend to join the Blues, with Everton reportedly already rejecting a couple of bids for his services.
There is then the ongoing saga surrounding Wesley Fofana, who has made it clear that he wants to join Chelsea this summer. However, the Blues are aware it will take a world record fee to complete the deal.
