Chelsea football club suffered their first defeat under new coach Graham Potter on Saturday evening, as they were defeated 4-1 by Brighton and Hove Albion football club at the Amex Stadium.

Coach Graham Potter made few changes to the squad that defeated Red Bull Salzburg football club in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night, but all their efforts to secure a victory over Brighton and Hove Albion football club were not successful.

Goals from Belgium national team star Leandro Trossard and Pascal Gross and two own goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Trevoh Chalobah gave Brighton and Hove Albion football club a victory, while Kai Havertz scored a goal for Chelsea football club.

The defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion football club has now marked Chelsea’s first defeat under coach Graham Potter.

Here are the three players to blame for Chelsea’s first defeat under coach Graham Potter;

The Spaniard has been superb for Chelsea football club since Graham Potter was appointed, but he was not at his best against Brighton and Hove Albion football club and he was replaced by Edouard Mendy before the start of second half.

Raheem Sterling
