Chelsea are reportedly preparing to reignite their interest in Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as the January transfer window approaches. Osimhen has made a name for himself as one of Europe’s most lethal strikers during his time with Napoli. The 25-year-old helped the Italian side secure their first Serie A title in over three decades, scoring 30 goals in a stellar campaign that cemented his reputation as a top-class forward. However, his future with Napoli became uncertain following the arrival of new head coach Antonio Conte and the signing of Romelu Lukaku, prompting Osimhen to seek a loan move to Galatasaray.
While Osimhen’s long-term future remains in limbo, Chelsea are reportedly still very much interested in securing his services. The player himself is said to be open to a switch to Stamford Bridge, with Corriere dello Sport suggesting that he would welcome a move to the Premier League.
Osimhen has continued to impress this season, netting two goals and providing four assists in just four appearances for Galatasaray.
