Chelsea Football Club has completed the signing of midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City for £30 million.
The 25-year-old becomes the fourth summer acquisition for the Blues, following the arrivals of Tosin Adarabioyo, Omari Kellyman, and Marc Guiu.
Dewsbury-Hall played a crucial role in Leicester’s Championship-winning season, contributing 12 goals and 14 assists under former manager Enzo Maresca, who has also made the move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The transfer is expected to significantly aid Leicester in meeting Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), although it remains unclear whether the club will be fully compliant.
Dewsbury-Hall’s departure marks the end of a 17-year association with Leicester City, having joined the club at the age of eight.
In an emotional farewell message on Instagram, he expressed his gratitude and reflected on his time with the Foxes.
He said, “Well what can I say? What a journey it’s been. Seventeen years of my life devoted to this club and it’s been a pleasure. I’ve loved every minute of my time at this football club and created some memories & friendships I’ll never forget.”
