Chelsea Football Club have triggered the €6 million release clause into Marc Guiu's Barcelona contract to sign the 18 year old striker.
In a report by popular sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Marc Guiu has already completed his medical tests as Chelsea player in London tonight.
Fabrizio Romano stated in his social media post that; "Marc Guiu completed medical tests as Chelsea player in London tonight."
"Spanish 18 year old striker has traveled to London with medical tests successfully completed, now time to sign."
Chelsea have triggered €6m release clause as Barca's been informed directly by the club with documents. Guiu will sign contract valid until June 2030 at Chelsea." Fabrizio Romano stated.
The 18 year old striker was handed his Barcelona senior debut by the then Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez, which he showed his worth by scoring some crucial goals for the club.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona offered the 18 year old striker a new contract, which comes with an improved release clause, however, Marc Guiu has decided to begin a new chapter in his career with Chelsea Football Club in the Premier League starting from next season.
